Biography

Born Christa Noelle Mackey on December 25, 1977, Kryssie embarked on a career in the entertainment field at an early age.  Her “hero,” as it were, in the acting realm was the one and only Johnny Depp.  She first saw Mr. Depp perform on the TV series, 21 Jump Street, and admired him greatly.  It was around that time that she decided to become an actor.

At the age of 8, she began formally studying piano, and at age 14, she dropped piano for voice.  She developed into a spinto-coloratura soprano and continually surprises everyone–including herself–with the range of styles she is able to sing.  Upon graduation from college with a degree in Speech education, Kryssie began work as an actor at a science center.  It was at this juncture that the spelling of her name changed.  While at the science center, she worked with three other people with various “Chris” names.  There was Kris, her female coworker; Chris, her male co-worker; and Christine, Chris’ girlfriend.  She began going by the name Kryssie as a means to keep everyone straight.

In June of 2003, she packed up her few belongings and moved to California to pursue a career in film acting.  She has appeared in several feature films, a few independent films, and a few tv shows.  She also has actively pursued a career in music, as well, and has a demo album completed and one in the works.  In December of 2009, she joined Toastmasters International and by March of 2010, completed her first status level of “Competent Communicator.”  She also took 1st Runner Up at the local level contest for the International Speech Competition 2010, but has high hopes of attending the top level–as Toastmaster.
